A 22-year-old man who was shot last week in St. Paul died this weekend.

Dajuon Johnson left the store at the BP station at University and Hamline avenues and was standing next to a gas pump when gunshots rang out on Tuesday about 4:10 a.m., said Sgt. Mike Ernster, a St. Paul police spokesman.

Johnson was shot in the neck and fell to the ground, Ernster said. Paramedics took Johnson, of St. Paul, to Regions Hospital. He died just before noon on Saturday.

No one has been arrested and police said Monday their investigation is ongoing, including what led to the shooting. Police ask anyone with information to call them at 651-266-5650.

Johnson’s death is the 11th homicide of the year in St. Paul.
