More than two dozen candidates have filed to run for St. Paul City Council in November’s ranked-choice elections.
The St. Paul Republican City Committee is scheduled to host one of the first candidate forums of the election season, open to all candidates regardless of party, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1399 Eustis St.
At least nine candidates have confirmed attendance and several others are sending campaign representatives to take part.
The political race is officially non-partisan, though that hasn’t stopped several parties from making endorsements or candidates from running under a particular partisan banner.
There will be no political primary to whittle down the field.
