Authorities say a man shot dead Thursday night in Minneapolis is a 27-year-old from St. Paul.
About 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Minneapolis police received a report of a person with a gun in the 700 block of 14th Street East. While they were on their way to the location, reports came in that there had been a shooting.
When officers arrived they found a man shot, said police spokesman John Elder. They provided medical aid until paramedics arrived. The man died several hours later at Hennepin County Medical Center.
On Saturday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Brandon Jerome Salter, 27, of St. Paul.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
