Motorcyclist hit from behind, thrown from bike

A Massachusetts man was critically injured Thursday night, Aug. 15, 2019, when his motorcycle was struck from behind by another vehicle on Route 101 in Bedford.

BEDFORD — Police have identified a Massachusetts man who was critically injured when his motorcycle was rear-ended by another vehicle on Route 101 Thursday night.

James Raymond, 59, of Lunenburg, Mass., was heading west near the intersection with Nashua Road when his 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was struck from behind by a Dodge Dart driven by Andrew Scott Duffy, 22, of Keene, according to police. Raymond was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered what police said were life-threatening injuries.
