'Papa John' Schnatter, famous Louisville fan, wears Kentucky gear behind Rupp Arena bench

Before his fall from grace, John "Papa John" Schnatter — founder of Papa John's Pizza — was one of the most famous Louisville fans on the planet.

Cardinal Stadium — home of the football team — was formerly called "Papa John's Cardinal Stadium" and Schnatter served on the University of Louisville board of trustees.

But Schnatter lost both his post on the board (via resignation) and saw his name removed from the stadium in the fallout from the July revelation he used a racial slur on a May conference call

Now removed from the school in official capacities, he appears to have no problem supporting Louisville's biggest rival: the University of Kentucky.

Schnatter was spotted behind the UK bench Tuesday night during the Wildcats' basketball game against LSU, wearing the famous Kentucky blue.

While the controversial businessman probably didn't have too many fans left at Louisville, he likely ended things for good with his cheering choices Tuesday night at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

No. 5 Kentucky ended up losing to No. 21 LSU right at the buzzer. The No. 20 Cardinals also lost as they blew a 23-point lead to the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils.
