The Los Angeles Kings have signed Minnesota Duluth sophomore defenseman Mikey Anderson to a three-year, entry-level contact.

Anderson, who gives up his junior and senior seasons, was selected by the Kings in the fourth-round (103rd overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.

The Roseville, Minn., native helped the Bulldogs capture NCAA championship in both of his seasons at UMD.

During the 2018-19 regular season, Anderson played in 40 games and posted 27 points (six goals, 21 assists) and a plus-22 rating.

As a freshman, Anderson finished as UMD’s second-leading freshman scorer with 23 points on five goals and 18 assists in 39 games.
