FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fargo Police say they are investigating a ‘concerning incident’ after a man was stabbed early Wednesday morning.

Police say they responded to an apartment complex in the 3500 block of 28 St S. after a female resident said an unidentified male rang her buzzer and told her that her car alarm was going off. The resident called a friend, and they both went to investigate the car alarm.

Police say when the two returned to the apartment, a male was found hiding inside. The resident’s male friend got into a struggle with the suspect and was stabbed. The suspect fled and was not located. The victim was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Officers say the only description of the suspect is that it was possibly a thin-build male approximately 5′8″ wearing dark clothing.

Police say they are asking the residents of Fargo to please use caution when answering apartment buzzers or doorbells when no one is expected. They say if you leave your house or apartment for even a short period of time, to lock your doors behind you.
