A West Fargo teenager battling a life threatening disease is getting is getting some extra help to have the best summer ever.

The Fargo Davies' girls cross country team is raising money for Keaton Nelson. The teen suffers from cystic fibrosis. Humidity, air, and smoke make his condition worse so he cannot spend a lot of time outside.

So the runners are doing it for him. They're raising funds for the team with a carwash, but they're also selling baked goods for Keaton.

The family says their efforts inspired Keaton to get involved too.

"He asked if he could go wash a car and I said, 'Of course! I wish it was mine, but you don't do that at home, but do it here," says Jason Nelson, Keaton's Dad.

Earlier this year, Keaton's family set up a Go Fund Me account so he could have the best summer ever.
