UPDATE: A Fargo man is behind bars after he allegedly shot a vehicle with a BB gun late Sunday in south Fargo.

26-year-old Dominic Pierce was arrested for a C-Felony reckless endangerment charge after he allegedly fired a BB gun at another person.

Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 21st Avenue South for a report of a shooting that just had occurred.

Police say a victim on the scene said he had been shot by a person with a handgun, but the victim wasn't injured. They add that it was a BB gun used to create marks on the victim's vehicle.

After searching the area, police located Pierce in his apartment nearby and recovered a BB gun pistol.

Police say that the shooting had stemmed from a verbal altercation between the victim and Pierce. There is no danger to the public.

ORIGINAL: Fargo police tell Valley News Live that one person has been arrested after investigating reports of possible gunshots in South Fargo late Sunday.

Dispatch tells us the call came in around 10:47 p.m. near the intersection of 16th Street South and 21st Avenue South. A reporter on scene says police blocked off a part of 16th Street South during their investigation.

Police have not released any more information regarding this situation.
