UPDATE: Fargo police identify man involved in robbery

(UPDATE)--We now know the name of the man involved in a robbery in Fargo earlier today.

He's Kenyi Pitia and he's been arrested for Robbery and Refusing to Hault.

Police are still searching for a second suspect allegedly involved in the robbery.

This evening around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call where a victim had been robbed at gun point. Officers in the area located the suspect vehicle and one suspect.

The suspect fled on foot and was tracked to an apartment in South Fargo, with the assistance of a West Fargo PD K9.

The suspect surrendered and officers seized the firearm used in the robbery.

Police say they were dispatched to a gas station for a robbery. When officers arrived, they found the two suspects and their car. The two suspects then took off on foot.

Police blocked off a portion of 23rd St. S and later received a call from a witness who said they saw one of the suspects run into Community Homes Apartments on 702 23rd St S.

Police located the suspect, seized a hand gun and placed the suspect under arrest.

Police say there is no threat to the public, but they are searching for the second suspect.

(Original)-- Fargo police officers have blocked off a portion of 23rd St S near an apartment building as they look for a robbery suspect.

A reporter on scene tells us there's a heavy law enforcement presence near Community Homes Apartments on 702 23rd St S.

Police said they were dispatched to a robbery at a gas station Sunday evening but as officers arrived, two suspects fled on foot.

Officers set up a perimeter and began searching for the suspects. They later received a tip from witnesses that one of the suspects had ran into an apartment.

Police located the suspect, seized a hand gun and placed the suspect under arrest.

Officers were seen with their guns drawn.

Police said the public is not in danger at this time, but they are still searching for the second suspect.
