The New Life Center in Fargo is highlighting the dangers of homelessness.

Executive director Rob Swiers is sleeping out through Thursday. The company is aiming to raise $1 million. As of Wednesday evening, they raised $200 thousand dollars.

"As the director of an organization, I have a platform I can use," said Swiers. "A lot of people don't even see the individuals who are homeless. So it's not on their radar. So when someone chooses to sleep in weather like this, that says, what's that about? And that is my whole point."

Anyone who donates $10 or more in person at the New Life Center will receive a care bag to give to someone who is experiencing homelessness.

Also, members of the Fargo force stopped by this evening to lend support and toast s'mores.
