Re: Woody Woodburn’s June 6 column, “Black lives matter — in all ways”:

In his column, Mr. Woodburn points out many the many ways we are all alike. Nice job Woody!

We are experiencing a new chapter in our history. Never before in the history of this nation have we become very aware of the inequities suffered by our fellow citizens of all colors. We look forward to the day when we’ll be reading about this time in history.

More than ever before, we are past due for this kind of protest. We were able to witness, firsthand, through the lens of social media the cruelty that has been aimed at our black brothers and sisters for generations. The protests are being carried out by our fellow citizens of all colors. We are becoming aware of the injustices suffered by our brothers and sisters. What we now know is that this movement is not going away at any time soon.

Thank you Woody for helping us to understand the many ways we are all equal and all beautiful. We will grow stronger and more united because of our knowledge, and the world will become a much better place where we will all be treated equally.
