Beyoncé Loves Archie Mountbatten-Windsor as Much as You Do

On Sunday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, British royalty, met Jay-Z and Beyoncé, American royalty, at the London premiere of The Lion King.

Cameras were flashing, fans were in awe, and everyone looked fabulous. (Beyoncé wore a gold gown by Cong Tri, while Markle opted for a little black cocktail dress by Jason Wu.) But what did this fabulous foursome actually talk about?

Yes, just like you, Jay Z and Beyoncé are blown away by his cuteness. “The baby, so beautiful. We love you guys,” Beyoncé told the Duchess of Sussex.

They also chatted about parenthood in general, with Jay-Z doling out some wisdom to Prince Harry: “The best advice I can give you, always find some time for yourself,” he said.

What brought them all to the cinematic premiere? Well, for starters, Beyoncé stars in the film as Nala. As for the Sussexes, Walt Disney donated to the couple’s “upcoming environment and community initiative which will be formally announced this autumn,” said Buckingham Palace. “The Duke and Duchess are committed to advancing conservation efforts across Africa and around the world, and working with communities to ensure a sustainable future for the planet.”

Although this is the first time they have all met (well, that the public is aware of), the Carters have already expressed their admiration for Meghan Markle. Last April, they accepted their Brit Award in front of a framed portrait of the Duchess of Sussex. In it, she wears an elaborate crown and is adorned with jewels.

“In honor of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy,” Beyoncé captioned her Instagram of the moment. Perhaps it’s a power friendship in the making.
