Aviation group in Bangor is adding jobs thanks to federal grant

An aviation group in Bangor will be adding jobs thanks to a big grant.

C & L Aviation Group says they're getting a $1.5 million federal grant for an expansion.

They tell us they'll need to match it dollar for dollar for the $2.5 million expansion program.

The project will include construction of buildings and more.

They say 50 aircraft mechanic jobs will be added now and 200-plus in the future.

"The support from the town, the city, and the federal government had been great. So, we're really excited about this and we really want to make this happen quickly ," says CEO Chris Kilgour.

Kilgour says this will give them an opportunity to increase the potential for more aircraft.
