Police have found 21-year-old James Berube who fled from police in Trenton earlier today…

Officials say they were trying to locate him because of crimes in Washington County.

He was seen driving a stolen truck in Ellsworth where officers began to pursue him.

We are told he fled the vehicle in Trenton by the IGA and went into the woods.

Berube is in custody at the Hancock County Jail.

"Initially, I'm thinking someone just has an emergency," says eye witness Michael McKee. "A little upset because they drove through the parking lot so fast, but then you realize wow, this is a high-speed chase. This has gone on for a while. This is the day's events unfolding. You'd expect this in the Southwest, or out West but not here. So, big news for Trenton."

He is being held for failure to stop for an officer, eluding, and driving to endanger.
