Arrest made after Baton Rouge rapper shot to death in 2017

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department has made an arrest in a deadly shooting case from 2017.
Police say Deandre Demarcus Fields, 24, of New Roads, was arrested Friday, June 7 for the shooting death of Garrett Burton, 22, that happened Sept. 10, 2017 on Dallas Drive. Burton, a Baton Rouge rapper, was known as “Da Real Gee Money” or “Gee Money.”

Fields has been booked for second degree murder. The investigation continues.
