Police respond to reported pipe bomb in Baton Rouge neighborhood

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Police responded to a report of a pipe bomb explosion early Monday morning in a Baton Rouge neighborhood.
Public Information Officer Don Coppola said at around 12:30 a.m., officers were sent out to the area of 600 Vine St. about a reported explosion.
Officers found what appeared to be remnants of an explosive device. There were no reports of property damage or bodily injury, according to Coppola.
The investigation is ongoing.
