Friday, June 5: Number of coronavirus cases, deaths in Louisiana

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - As of Friday, June 5 the Louisiana Department of Health reported the following cases for the state:
- 41,989 positive cases - 427 new cases
- 2,801 deaths - 29 new deaths
- 604 patients in the hospital - decrease in 9 patients
- 75 patients on ventilators - decrease in 7 patients
- 31,728 patients recovered - no change (recoveries only reported on Mondays)
