Wakefield Council applies for new bannister
Wakefield Council has submitted a planning application to put a new handrail on a staircase in its Grade I-listed County Hall.
The request for listed building consent is for a staircase heading to the basement.
Conservation body Historic England did not comment on the plan and added “it is not necessary for us to be consulted on this application again”.
