A massive cannabis factory operating on a terraced street has been dismantled by South Wales Police.

The police are currently trying to trace those responsible for the operation.

A spokeswoman for the South Wales Police said: "Acting upon intelligence from the local community, Swansea Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant at and address on Rhondda Street, Mount Pleasant, at approximately 10.50am on Wednesday, March 20.

"A substantial cannabis factory covering six rooms was located, and more than 200 plants were seized.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify and trace those involved in the operation."
