A man has been taken to hospital after a crash which closed a section of the A48 in Carmarthenshire.
The crash, between a car and a van, happened shortly before 12pm on Tuesday on the westbound stretch of the carriageway, near Llanddarog.
Both lanes of the westbound stretch were closed and diversions were put in place.
The road was initially closed between Cross Hands and the Nantycaws junction, before the closure point moved westbound to the junction for the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
A crash barrier was damaged as a result of the collision, and the road closure was in place for more than hour.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at approximately 12.10pm on Tuesday to a road traffic collision on the A48 near Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire.
"We responded with an emergency ambulance and one patient has been conveyed to Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen."
The A48 westbound was fully reopened at around 1.15pm.

Damage to crash barrier on A48
Police say that a crash barrier has been damaged as a result of the collision.
It’s understood that around 30 metres of the barrier has been damaged. South Wales Trunk Agency has been made aware.
Diversions are in place
The road is closed between Cross Hands and Llanddarog.
Traffic is being diverted at Cross Hands roundabout.
One person injured
It’s understood that one person has been injured and the ambulance are on route to the scene of the crash.
