A mum-of-three's death, being investigated by police, was related to drugs, an inquest has heard.

Gemma Louise Palmer's body was found at a house in Llangyfelach Road, Swansea, where she lived, at 8.15pm on Saturday, June 22.

Police taped off a lane off Mysydd Terrace in Landore, at the rear of Llangyfelach Road, while they carried out inquiries.

A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after her death.

South Wales Police confirmed he currently remains released under investigation.

An inquest was opened into the 30-year-old's death at Swansea Civic Centre on Monday which heard how Miss Palmer was found unresponsive and pronounced dead later that day.

The hearing was told a post-mortem examination report "indicates the use of drugs in relation to the incident".

Miss Palmer's inquest has now been adjourned until November 3, 2020.

After her death, her family said they were "deeply saddened" and that she will be missed in a statement released via the police.
