A three-year-old child has died following an incident in Carmarthenshire .

The child died at the scene of a collision involving a vehicle at a property near Llanybydder on Sunday afternoon.

Police are now investigating the incident.

The child has not yet been named, and no further details have been released regarding what happened.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are is investigating the sudden death of a three-year-old child.

“At approximately 4.25pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018, police received a report of a collision involving a child and a vehicle at a private property near Llanybydder.

“Tragically, the child died at the scene.

"Our thoughts are with the family, who are being supported by specially trained officers. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The Coroner for Carmarthenshire has been made aware of the death, along with the Health and Safety Executive.
