Traffic has now returned to normal in Raglan.

There was congestion near Raglan Interchange earlier this afternoon.

Traffic on the A40

There’s currently slow traffic on the A40 Northbound from Raglan Interchange to Monmouth Traffic Lights.

Roadworks are currently taking place in the area.

Couples are devastated

Couples say they have been left out of pocket after paid for wedding supplies with a company they say has since vanished.

The couples say they paid money to a company called Vintage Rose Wedding Boutique but that it has stopped replying to phone calls or emails and that its social media accounts and website have been deactivated.

The brides and grooms say they are devastated and have both lost hundreds of pounds and are missing items like chair covers, favours and table centre pieces.

A visitor was 'shocked'

A hospital had an unusual visitor after a “snake” was spotted on a corridor of a Welsh hospital.

The reptile made its way along the halls on Ysybty Cwm Cynon, Mountain Ash hospital.

An elderly visitor who was trying to leave the hospital found the snake blocking his path.

'Severe delays' in Monmouthshire

There are severe delays and queueing traffic on A40 Northbound from A449 (Raglan Interchange, Raglan) to A466 (Monmouth Traffic Lights, Monmouth). This is due to roadworks in the area.

Travel time is 1 hour 20 minutes.

Lane one (of two) closed for ongoing works.

Crash on M4 Newport

One lane of the M4 eastbound is closed from J25A A4042 (Newport/Cwmbran) to J25 B4569 (Caerleon). Congestion is backing up to J27 (High Cross).

Queueing traffic and traffic heavier than normal on M4 Eastbound at J34 A4119 (Miskin) following an accident that’s now been moved onto the hard shoulder.

Slow traffic on A55 in north Wales

There is slow traffic due to earlier accident on the A55 North Wales Expressway Westbound from J15 (Llanfairfechan) to J12 Tal Y Bont Interchange.

All lanes have been re-opened but there is congestion to Congestion to A55 J15 (Llanfairfechan).

Traffic cameras show all lanes have re-opened as of around 10.10am, however, residual delays remain along the A55,.

Sensors show there are also delays on Aber Road heading towards A55 J14.

Did you witness a crash on Malpas Road on Tuesday?

Officers at Gwent Police are appealing for information following a single vehicle crash that took place on Malpas Road, in Llantarnam.

At approximately 9.20am on Tuesday, August 20 police were called to a report that a red BMW had left the road and crashed into a tree.

A woman sustained injuries to her wrist and liver and was taken to hospital for treatment. She currently remains in hospital.

A 20-year-old man from Cwmbran has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in police custody.

Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has any dashcam footage, to call 101 quoting log 89 of 20/8/2019.

  • Queueing traffic on the exit slip road on M4 Eastbound at J33 A4232 (Cardiff West And Services) heading up to the roundabout
  • Slow traffic on A465 Westbound at M4 J43
  • Queueing traffic on A467 Forge Road Southbound before M4 J28 (Tredegar Park)
  • A468 busy but moving at A469 (Cedar Tree Roundabout)

Sunshine and scattered showers today

After a mostly sunny start, showers in the southwest will move northeastwards.

They will be heavy at times but most areas will be dry and sunny by the end of the afternoon.

It will become windy in the northwest though.

Maximum temperature of 20 °C.

Strong winds will develop across the north and west, as a rain band arrives here.

Most of Wales will be dry this evening, but the rain will sink southwards later.

Minimum temperature of 14.
