All the trees in a Swansea car park have been cut down to make way for a massive development which will transform the High Street.
The Mariner Street Car Park was closed for two weeks on Monday, February 18 and in less than a week, all trees on the site had been felled.
The removal of the trees is the first stage in getting the site ready for a 17-storey residential and retail development , which will begin later in the year.
It is hoped the privately-funded £50m project will help regenerate the High Street area of Swansea city centre.

Awarded planning permission in 2016, with amended plans approved in October 2018, the new building will include purpose-built accommodation for 780 students above a number of shops and other businesses on the ground floor.
Fusion Students are behind the scheme in conjunction with RDE Silex and Varsity Halls Swansea. The Mariner Street development is just one of six student accommodation proposals which could cement Swansea as a true university city .
Alongside the tree-felling, an archaeological survey is also being carried out in the car park, which should be reopened in early-March.
A spokesman for Swansea City Council said the Mariner Street car park would close for good once construction work gets underway.
He said: "We expect the car park will re-open temporarily next week but it will be permanently closed when the main contractors move on-site later this year.
"The developer is paying for works at the High Street car park to compensate for the spaces at Mariner Street which will be closed."
