Swansea City suffered a third defeat in four games as they let slide an early lead against West Brom at the Liberty Stadium.

Graham Potter's men had led through Oli McBurnie's early goal, but were made to pay for poor set-piece defending as Craig Dawson and Ahmed Hegazi converted headers to ensure the Baggies left with all three points.

Here, we rate the Swansea players.

Erwin Mulder 5

Has been a clamour for him to play, but after being involved in the mess for Norwich's second at the weekend he was in no-man's land for both of the goals here and distribution was uncertain.

Mike van der Hoorn 6

Better than he had been at the weekend. Still got caught wondering forward a few times, and passing was a bit hit and miss.

Joe Rodon Star man 7

The stand-out performer. Stood up to Robson-Kanu's physicality and frustrated the former Wales international so much that it all spilled over near the end. Kept his composure on the ball though and another strong showing in the bank.

Cameron Carter-Vickers 6

Started in a back three and ended the night at full-back. Had a solid enough night but often found himself having to mark more than one man at set-pieces.

Connor Roberts 5

A quiet night where the game never quite came his way. Usual energy but had little opportunity to put it to good use and was withdrawn as Potter sent on more attacking options. Left marking Dawson which proved an unfair contest for the equaliser.

Matt Grimes 6

Matt Grimes of Swansea City makes a break.

Came in for some stick from the crowd but was not helped by lack of movement ahead of him, particularly during the final half-hour when he was sole deep playmaker. Set-piece deliveries were improved and had a decent enough first half.

Leroy Fer 5

Some good moments, some not so good. Smashed an ambitious volley over, won some strong challenges and played some lovely forward passes. But was often wayward too, as shown by second half sequence where he won the ball and hit a crossfield pass out of play.

Martin Olsson 6

Another who started well, but faded. Showed willingness to get down the flank and had a penalty shout for a Dawson handball turned down.

Bersant Celina 6

Played in a couple of lovely passes to free James in space and looked the most likely to make something happen for the hosts, but found escaping the shackles increasingly difficult.

Oli McBurnie 6

Oli McBurnie of Swansea City scores a goal.

Took his goal with some aplomb, simply smashing home the loose ball. Combined well with James and Celina to start with but was kept under wraps throughout the second half.

Daniel James 6

Daniel James of Swansea City is tackled by Tosin Adarabioyo of West Bromwich Albion.

Once again his pace was Swansea's most consistent threat and will rue the chance he spurned when the scores were level. Got into promising positions but could not find the final ball this time.

Subs

Barrie McKay (On for Roberts, 60) 5

A couple of bright moments, but didn't make the concerted impact required.

Jefferson Montero, on for Fer, 71) 6

Raised hopes with a few forays down the left, but to no avail.

Wilfried Bony (On for James, 76) 5

Scuffed one half-chance, little involvement otherwise.
