The latest transfer news from the Premier League and beyond....

Man United won’t sign Llorente

Former Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente won’t be joining Manchester United, according to the latest reports.

It had been touted that the former Tottenham target man would sign a two-year deal at Old Trafford, to provide cover in attacking areas. However, the Daily Mail say United are unlikely to make an offer for the 34-year-old with no plans to sign him any time soon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a little light up front with Alexis Sanchez set to join Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan in the coming days.

Zidane tells Bale to prove himself

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has told Gareth Bale to prove himself as it appears the Welshman's future is now resolved.

Bale and the Frenchman have endured a frosty relationship, but a failed move to China has meant the attacker is now likely to stay in the Spanish capital.

"The important thing is the player wants to stay," the manager said. "It's true that a lot was said about him, by me as well, but he is going to stay.

"He is a great player, he has shown that before and he has to show it again. He has to be the player we know that he is."

Bale was heavily linked with Tottenham and Manchester United this summer but now appears he will stay in Spain.

Williams joins Bristol City

Ashley Williams has joined Bristol City

Wales skipper Ashley Williams' move to Bristol City has been confirmed.

The free agent, who played for Swansea City, Everton and Stoke City in the past, has signed a one-year deal with the Robins.

After completing his move to Ashton Gate, Williams told the club's website: "The gaffer [Lee Johnson] has been great with me, all the lads have welcomed me in the dressing room and I'm pleased to be here.

"From what I saw against Derby and in training, having been around the Championship for many years and I got promoted with Swansea, this team has enough in the dressing room to go and do that."

Mustafi advised to leave Arsenal

Shkordan Mustafi’s agent has weighed in on the defender’s future.

The defender is surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium and is looking to leave the club before the European window slams shut.

In a statement, his agent, who is also his dad, said: "Shkodran had a great time with Arsenal. We still have a contract for two years and can imagine to stay in London.

“However the best for both sides is probably to work on a transfer. But for that, it also needs market-driven transfer-fees.”

Hudson-Odoi to commit Chelsea future

Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi

It might be the worst kept secret in football, but Callum Hudson-Odoi is finally set to commit his future to Chelsea.

Talks about a new contract have been ongoing for months but the Englishman is convinced he will get more game time under Frank Lampard.

There were fears Chelsea could lose him for free originally, with Bayern Munich desperate to lure him to Germany.

However, The Daily Mail has confirmed Hudson-Odoi will finally pen a new deal in the coming days.

Javier Hernandez to MLS?

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez is being linked with a move to Major League Soccer. According to Football Insider, DC United are eyeing a move for the former Manchester United attacker.

The MLS outfit are set to lose Wayne Rooney to Derby County in January and see Hernandez as their next big addition.

They believe that the Mexican, now 31, could be tempted by a big-money contract.
