Wales head coach Gareth Williams has made seven changes, one positional, for the clash, with an injury to Max Llewellyn seeing Deon Smith move into the centre alongside Tiaan Thomas-Wheeler.

Tomi Lewis moves to the wing while Harri Morgan starts at half-back in front of Dafydd Buckland. Rhys Davies and Nick English replace Kemsley Mathias and Ben Warren in the front row respectively, while Ed Scragg comes in for Morgan Jones in the second row, and Iestyn Rees gets a starting berth at blindside flanker ahead of Lennon Greggains.

Thomas-Wheeler also takes his place in the midfield after a one-match suspension under the high risk contact technique warning trial was overturned.

Sam Costelow, one of the heroes of Wales' victory over the All Blacks, suffered a fractured jaw which has brought his tournament to an end.

The damage was done in a bone-shaking collision with Kiwi winger Leicester Fainga’anuku as the two players came together following a chip over the top by Wales fly-half Cai Evans.
