They sang Let In The Sun in 2014 and The Flood in 2010.

But what fans of Take That going to see their pop idols perform in Cardiff really want to know is: Will it be rain or Shine for the band's big gig at the city's Principality Stadium on Saturday, June 8 ?

Well, the good news is that the trio of Gary Barlow , Mark Owen and Howard Donald shouldn't have trouble relighting anyone's fire come the weekend thanks to any unwanted precipitation.

Take That will be in Cardiff this Saturday

In fact, according to the weather report, Cardiff looks set for overcast but dry for much of Saturday  - and, by the time the gig starts at around 7pm, there may even be a trace of sun trying to poke its head through the clouds.

The forecast is in sharp contrast to Friday, June 7 which will see heavy rain hammer much of Wales from the early hours until late into the evening.

However, fans should be prepared for a busy day both in town and on transport as Stereophonics' Kelly Jones and comedian Rhod Gilbert will also be playing their own sold-out gigs in the capital.

Cwmaman rock star Jones will be stopping off at St David's Hall as part of his Don’t Let The Devil Take Another Day solo tour, while Carmarthen funnyman Gilbert will be finishing off a trio of shows in South Wales as part of his mammoth 100-date Book Of John tour.
