Runners are gearing up for this year's Swansea Half Marathon .

An estimated 10,000 runners are expected to take part along the scenic 13.1 mile route on Sunday, June 23.

Together with the main race, there will be a wheelchair race, and a family dash, a 2km fun run.

The Swansea Half Marathon is set to start at 9.50am for wheelchair athletes, and 10am for the rest of the participants. The family dash starts at 10.15am.

The last runners should be over the finish line by around 2pm and the event finishes at 4pm.

Starting pens are located outside the Brangwyn Hall.

There will be temporary road closures and traffic restrictions in place, some of which will last until 4pm.

  • 07.30am: Race village open
  • 07.30am: Baggage lorry open near the Brangwyn Hall
  • 9am: Road closures commence
  • 9.30am: Runners enter start funnels at Guildhall Road South
  • 9:50am: Baggage drop off closes
  • 9:55am: Wheelchair athlete race begins
  • 10am: Mass race starts
  • 10.15am: Fun time fruits family fun dash starts
  • 11am: Wheelchair winner of the JCP Swansea Half Marathon expected
  • 11.03am: Male winner expected
  • 11.12am: Female winner expected
  • 12 noon: Winners presentation
  • 2pm: Last runner expected
  • 4pm: Event closes
