Biden steps up campaign schedule: Iowa, Texas, South Carolina, New Hampshire stops in early July

Joe Biden appears to be increasing the number of his campaign events in July, announcing trips to Iowa, Texas, South Carolina, and New Hampshire.

The 2020 Democratic presidential contender will be traveling to Iowa on July 3 and July 4 with his wife Jill Biden. The pair will then go to Houston, Texas on July 5.

Biden, 76, is traveling by himself on July 6 and July 7 to South Carolina, and on July 12 he will be in New Hampshire. He is leading a field of two dozen candidates, polling at 32% according to RealClearPolitics.

The former vice president has been holding only about half as many campaign events as his main competitors in the Democratic primary race.
