The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency teamed up with Jefferson City Saturday afternoon and held a fishing event at the city pool for nursing home residents.

The pool was filled with rain water during the historic rainfall from last month.

TWRA released rainbow trout in the pool and about 20 were caught.

Following the event, the pool will be drained and the remaining trout will be cleaned and donated to the Dandridge Ministerial Association. The 20 trout that were caught were also donated.

Some children also attended the event.
