VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police say they responded to the 1700 block of Centerville Turnpike in Virginia Beach Thursday evening for an armed person who was threatening self-harm.
Police said around 9:40 p.m. the person had been taken into custody.
They were taken into custody without incident and the area had been cleared.
They first notified the public about the incident around 7:30 p.m.
