VIRGINIA BEACH Va. (WAVY)- The city of Virginia Beach will offer overnight shelter for adults who are homeless through its Winter Shelter Program. 

People who need shelter may stay at warm fath organizations through out the city.

In order to stay, the person must check in between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Housing Resource Center on 104 N. Witchduck Road or the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center on 1053 Virginia Beach Boulevard. 

Shelter space is on a first come, first served basis and may not be available at all times. 

Each person will be driven to the shelter site once checked in. Participants may bring up to one bag, which must fit under the bus seat or on his or her lap.
