Lincoln Liquors CEO sells Fitchburg plaza for second time, now for $1.3 million

A Fitchburg plaza that includes FunStuf Rentals, Active Life Adult Day Health Care and La Reyna Bakery has sold for nearly $1.3 million.
Richard Aronovitz, the CEO of Lincoln Liquors, has sold his retail plaza along Fitchburg's Water Street for a second time, for $1.3 million, after reacquiring it in 2013 after the original buyer defaulted on its payments.
The plaza at 783 Water St. includes the party supply store FunStuf Rentals, Active Life Adult Day Health Care and La Reyna Bakery.
The building once housed Aronovitz's Lincoln Discount Drug Store and Liquors business, and he sold the property in 2005 to a trust, which opened the Super Liquors business at the location. After that business defaulted on its mortgage payments in 2011, Aronovitz sought to reacquire the property.
The new buyer is Angel Rivera Galvez, who paid Aronovitz $1.3 million for the property in a sale closed Aug. 2.
The 30,000 square-foot building was last assessed at more than $1.5 million.
