UPDATE (10/23/2019 1:55 p.m.):

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Bridgeport Police have arrested a man who is accused of robbing the Huntington Bank in Bridgeport Tuesday afternoon.

During a press conference hosted by the Bridgeport Police Department, police stated that Christopher Figueroa, 35, was taken into custody at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday without incident at a motel on Locust Avenue in Fairmont.

Figueroa is being charged with robbery of a banking institution, along with several outstanding state warrants from various jurisdictions, according to police. Figueroa’s initial appearance was before Marion County Magistrate WIlliam Homes who set bond at $300,000, police said.

Police said details of the incident were initially kept confidential for investigative purposes. However, officers said that if there had been a threat to the public, details and important information would have been released to the general public.

Officers also disclosed that in addition to Brideport Police, officers from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, West Virginia State Police, FBI, ATF, Fairmont Police, Three Rivers Task Force and White Hall Police Department assisted in the investigation.

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Multiple police agencies have been dispatched to West Main Street in reference to an armed robbery at the Huntington Bank, according to the Harrison County 911 Comm Center.

The Bridgeport Police Department is leading the investigation, and is being helped by the Clarksburg Police Department, Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and West Virginia State Police Department, according to officials.

According to Bridgeport Police, no one was injured during the incident and the robber is on the run.
