Suspect Charged In Shooting Of Roxbury Store Clerk

On Friday, officers charged a 25-year-old Lynn man for the armed robbery of a Roxbury convenience store clerk in July.

Boston Police, in conjunction with the Brockton Police and FBI Boston, issued the arrest warrant for Stephon Samuel who is currently in custody at the Plymouth County House of Corrections on unrelated charges.

He is being charged with armed robbery by means of a firearm, armed assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and armed career criminal level 1.

The robbery occurred before 9:13 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14 at 718 Shawmut Ave. in Roxbury. Officers found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The man is currently in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
