Advocates for more gun safety laws will be in Montpelier Thursday.
Laws they're specifically pushing for include a waiting period, limiting the carrying of semi-automatic weapons in crowded public spaces and legislation to help reduce the use of firearms while intoxicated.
They say the goal is to make Vermont safer from the misuse of guns while respecting hunters and acts of self-defense.
