Shoppers in Montpelier raised $1,250 to help the community by feeding parking meters that were free during the holiday season and donating to downtown businesses.
The fundraiser is a partnership between the city, downtown merchants and Montpelier Alive.
The money goes to the Montpelier Community Fund which distributes money to dozens of organizations working in the community.
