NH lodgings reopen; sunbathing allowed at beaches

Despite dozens of new COVID-19 cases confirmed every day, New Hampshire will allow all rental accommodations on Friday.

Hotels, cabins, short-term rentals and bed-and-breakfasts can all open at 50% capacity. The capacity restrictions do not apply to inns or B&Bs with fewer than two internal rooms or that have individual outside-room access.

Face coverings are recommended when physical distancing is not possible. Out of state visitors must quarantine for 14 days before their stay. Visitors will be required to have a New Hampshire driver's license or a signed document saying that all guests have met the quarantine requirement.

Sununu on Friday also announced phase two of the state seacoast beaches reopening. This allows for sunbathing and other traditional beach activities on seacoast beaches, effective immediately.

"We worked with public health and came up with a solution supported by data. We would like to thank everyone for their patience. Beachgoers will still need to remain 6 feet from other groups," said Sununu.
