FHP: crash kills man walking on I-75 in Columbia County

A car crash on Interstate 75 in Columbia County has left a man dead after he was hit while walking in the left lane Friday Morning.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, just after midnight the driver was traveling south on I-75 near mile marker 430. For some unknown reasons, 79-year-old David Boose of Fruitland Park was walking in the left lane when he was struck by the driver.
The driver managed to come to a controlled stop after the collision with no injuries.
Boose was pronounced dead at the scene,
