Arrest made in connection to Tuesday morning shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department says one person has been arrested in connection to a Tuesday morning shooting in the 3000 block of South Adams Street.

TPD says they have arrested 25-year-old Ruben Goodson on charges of attempted homicide, possession of weapon or ammo by a convicted felon, aggravated battery/uses a deadly weapon, violation of probation or community control and a violation of parole/possession of weapon or ammo by a convicted felon.

Authorities say Goodson was taken into custody by the TPD Career Criminal Unit and the U.S. Marshall's Task Force at his residence and was transported to TPD for questioning.

Officials say they learned Goodson is currently on probation for possession of substance with intent to sell and possession of firearm by delinquent.

TPD says a search of his residence saw the recovery of an AR-15-style rifle and approximately 391 grams of marijuana.

Authorities have taken Goodson to the Leon County Detention Facility.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- One person is injured after suffering a gunshot wound at 3000 South Adams Street early Tuesday morning.

The victim, who hasn't been identified, was transported to the hospital with what is being described as non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.
