Person in critical condition after being pulled from Lake Lafayette

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating after reports of an abandoned car led to the discovery of a person half submerged in Lake Lafayette.

TPD says around 8:00 p.m.Thursday, an officer responded to the 4900 block of Heritage Park Boulevard in reference to an abandoned vehicle. The officer later found a person in Lake Lafayette.

According to police, the person was removed from the lake and CPR was conducted until EMS arrived on scene. The subject was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

At this time, foul play is not suspected, but the case is still being treated as an active investigation.
