Two injured following Thursday afternoon crash in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A two car accident Thursday afternoon slowed traffic on North Monroe Street for several hours and sent two people to the hospital.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and confirmed to WCTV that both drivers were injured and taken to the hospital.

Deputies say a call of a crash came in around 5:38 p.m. on Thursday. The Tallahassee Police Department initially responded to the scene, but LCSO took over the investigation.

LCSO’s Traffic Homicide team was called out. However, both victims are expected to be alright.

The roadway is now clear for motorists.

LCSO says it’s too early to know if charges could be filed.
