A doctor in Massachusetts has been charged with the murder of his wife after she was found dead in an outdoor area not far from their home, according to authorities.The Norfolk District Attorney's Office reports that 58-year-old Ingolf Tuerk, of Dover, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 45-year-old Kathleen McLean.McLean had last been seen at the couple's Valley Road home Thursday evening when Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney's office, Dover police and Dedham police began investigating the circumstances of her disappearance. According to authorities, police developed information about her possible location and found her remains after 11 p.m. Saturday.A source within the Dover Police Department told NewsCenter 5's Josh Brogadir that McLean's remains were found in a pond about a half-mile from the couple's home and that investigators are not looking for a murder weapon.Tuerk was taken into custody overnight. He is a urologist who was featured on WCVB's Chronicle in 2013 for his work with robotic surgery.In November 2019, he agreed to pay $150,000 in a settlement with Attorney General Maura Healey after he was accused of falsely billing MassHealth for equipment that was not being used in procedures.A friend of the couple laid a flower and a stuffed animal by a tree of the Valley Road home Sunday morning. She told Brogadir that "it's a sad situation" but did not say much more about the investigation.Officials with the district attorney's office expect that Tuerk will be arraigned Monday under the authority of the Dedham District Court, according to court protocols and capacity during the present COVID-19 state of emergency.
