SULA: AS CITY LEADERS MONITOR CRISTOBAL, THERE ARE -- THEY ARE ALSO CLOSELY WATCHING THE HARD ROCK COLLAPSE SITE. COLLIN ARNOLD SAYS POWERFUL WIND GUSTS COULD BE AN ISSUE. ARNOLD SAYS BECAUSE ANOTHER COLLAPSE COULD HAPPEN, THERE IS A COLLAPSE ZONE SET UP WITH BARRICADES AND FENCING. NOFD IS OUT 24 HOURS A DAY MONITORING THE STRUCTURE. CONTRACTORS WILL TO STOP WORKING FOR THE DAY IF IT’S TOO DANGEROUS. CREWS WON’T WORK IN THE AIR, IF WINDS ARE MORE THAN 20 MPH. New Orleans city leaders are monitoring the Hard Rock collapse site ahead of tropical weather. Colin Arnold with New Orleans Homeland Security said a collapse zone with fencing is set up around the structure. With powerful wind gusts from Cristobal expected, contractors will have to stop working on the site if winds are more than 20 miles per hour. According to Arnold, the site has been through other weather events since the collapse and crews are ready should the building collapse.
