WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Anheuser-Busch held a thank you ceremony for the American Red Cross on Friday afternoon. They thanked Red Cross by giving them $1,000,000 for its annual disaster relief program.

The brewery partnered with the American Red Cross throughout hurricane Florence, donating more than 300,000 cans of water to the Wilmington area.

Bill Bradley with Anheuser Busch said the brewery is very active in helping with natural disasters every year.

“A couple of times a year at two of our breweries we tell production to can water, this way we have it ready when the Red Cross needs it so that we can mobilize really quickly life saving clean drinking water,” Anheuser-Busch vice president of community affairs, Bill Bradley, said .

Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo was also at the ceremony to thank the town and the organizations for their contribution.
