A Girl Scout selling cookies in Colorado saw a golden opportunity when she came across a photo of actor Jason Momoa: “Jason Momoa Samoas.”
Denver’s KUSA reports Charlotte Holmberg is a Top Cookie CEO for the Girl Scouts.
Charlotte’s mother, a marketing professional saw a picture on social media of “Momoas,” which are a play on the name of actor Jason Momoa and the chocolate, caramel, coconut “Samoas” cookies sold by Girl Scouts.
When it came time for Charlotte to sell cookies this year, she started printing out pictures of the heartthrob actor and gluing them on dozens of Girl Scout cookie boxes.
Charlotte and her mother took a photo of her creation and shared it on Facebook. They say their marketing tactic was a success.
“The moms are getting really excited and they’re saying that they need them,” Charlotte Holmberg told KUSA.
Charlotte told KUSA she sold 2,000 boxes of cookies last year and is on track for another successful year.
