CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Crews with Roanoke City Fire EMS and Salem Fire EMS, assisted the regional hazmat team after a tractor trailer crash in Carroll County.
Crews got the call that a tractor trailer had wrecked just after midnight. The tractor trailer was leaking hazardous chemicals after the crash.
About 25 gallons out of a 55 gallon drum of Resin had leaked from the steel drum. The team was able to stop and mitigate the impacts of the spill.
Crews are now on the way home after a long night of clean up.
