A WOMAN TOLD POLICE A MAN TRIED TO FORCE HIS WAY INTO HER VEHICLE AROUND 11:00 ON THE 1100 BLOCK OF NORTH BRIDGE STREET BUT SHE DROVE AWAY. THE MAN RAN AWAY AFTER HE COULDN’T GET INTO A SECOND VEHICLE. POLICE DESCRIBE THE MAN AS A THIN, WHITE MAN IN HIS 40’S WITH A BEARD, WEARING A BLUE

Police in Lancaster County want to identify a man who tried to force his way into two occupied vehicles.Christiana police said a woman told them the man tried to get into her vehicle around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Bridge Street. The victim drove away.The man then tried to enter another vehicle in the same area but ran away when he was unsuccessful, police said.The man is described as being a thin, white male in his 40's. The man had a beard and was wearing a blue hat, a navy blue shirt and blue jeans.Anyone who saw the man or has surveillance video of North Bridge Street, from the post office to the Lions Club field, is asked to contact Officer Brian Smyth at 610-593-2234.
